You are correct. We we're ok last year but you didn't have to go far south and it was super dry. We still have a job in SD that we bring our combines down but last year his crop burned up so we had no work.
It's not lookin very good up here right now. We have very little snow and seems like the drought area is expanding some. I just hope we can get enough moisture to get the crops started and get some timely rains to keep it going throughout the growing season.
Have fun and good luck fishing!

Sittin in Candler NC. Waiting on NC to get my permission slip approved. Kinda enjoying it, nice little T/A here. Actually has a restaurant in it. Go figure. Has a couple of cute waitresses if you like them from the hills and tats up one arm and down the other. Real purty smile with that one tooth all shiny !!!

Assuming no emergencies again, I'm heading out to Bucyrus, OH tomorrow. Likely will come back up through Ontario
though. Looking forward to checking off another two states on my list. Not really looking forward to the 12:30 am unloading appointment on Thursday though.
cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 1951 ford and 7 others Thank this. -
Well... I got ####ed as I expected.
Crappy steel load loading tomorrow afternoon at 8pm. They want me in North Carolina at 8am Thursday morning. So an 850 mile run will tie me up from Monday to Thursday.... yeah, this is gonna be a slow and bad week...cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 1951 ford and 4 others Thank this. -
No chance to unload early?cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 4 others Thank this.

Nope. The only silver lining is there's overnight parking at both ends.
Was thinking about riding after I load tomorrow and then arrive at customer wednesday night... that's the best way to conserve the clock day to day. But I'm thinking about just sleeping at the shipper tomorrow night and hauling ### Wednesday and wrap her up Thursday am... eh, it's #### JIT that can't unload or load early. -
Well I changed my tire and put new brakes and drums on the back drives. Gonna squirt a little grease then move momma's car into the shop.
We're supposed to get a 1/4 inch of ice tonight so I don't think we're gonna be going anyplace. They had another 70 car pileup Saturday morning north of ames.... I don't feel much like going out with the idiots.cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
That’s about what we have to look forward to around these parts, mid 40’s today, mid 70’s the next 2 days, so it can drop back down to 20 on Thursday probably.
