.45 for van isnt that bad. Not much to them other than counting boxes, accounting for every one of them and closing the doors. Then going to a CAT.

.47 for a flat is wonderful. However is 50 dollars for tarp and securement too much for you? If I was working for you and you paid me $50 to cover tarp and securement (Which is about two hours worst case scenario for a really picky picky load that demands TLC and attention.)

Those are new hire rates. I will be evaluating performance after 90 days to determine if a raise is in order. Hopefully, I will be paying a lot more because of performance!

I have already fired one supertrucker who thought his paper logs and made up crap we're better. I won't hesitate to do it again. My safety record is far more important than someone's attitude.

That's awesome. Bad for him good for you.

It's a shame I am not DOT legal to run, I would consider you for a employer. Those are not bad miles rate to start off, I think the tarp pay (Securement included) might be a little high for a beginner who has not proven himself. I was thinking about old hands like myself who would like 50 rather than say 20. Assuming one load daily it's worth the incentive to do the job right. (it's going to be done anyway, the pay is a motivator.)

I was just adding my 2 cents because elog does have an effect. And mostly not good for both drivers, and owners.
Yes I'm on paper but I'm not going full on re-tard. I would rather not risk any lives. And I sleep on off ramps most nights. So no need to be a cowboy when there is no stable to put my horse. My lanes ran are no parking after 7pm even at rest areas. So why how do I combat this? I can't. I may as well be on eld. But I would rather not. Nothing personal just my preferance.

Honestly, that's why it pays a little more on the mileage to help compensate for the added work. Paying practical miles for both also helps pad the check each week.

I'm not interested in beating this dead horse again. That ship has long since sailed.
