Tire Size Options..? 285/75 245

Yep low pro, same size.
You could change them to 11R 24.5 but there a taller tire.

 

If you put a 295 beside a 285 you will see no difference in size. Worked a couple of different truck tire shops for years coming up.

 

First number is width in mm, second is aspect ratio, and third is wheel diameter

 

You can put any 24.5 tire on 24.5 wheels,

Some low pro’s are very similar in height, but have different numbers. For example, I have 295/75 on my drives, and they are very close to my steer/trailer size of 275/80. Running some numbers, the difference is 1.6/32 of an inch in sidewall height (aspect ratio).

I remember hearing—what is likely to be misinformation—that as long as the first number is the same, you can match a tire with the second number being no more than 5. My calculations are showing this is NOT true. Maybe for some tires this trick will work, but not on my tires.
