Are you guys running the SCR trucks now? What is that euro 6 now?

Euro 4 now, 5 next fall. They are allready selling Euro 5. You can have Scania, MAN and Volvo with SCR or EGR. Volvo EGR only Euro 4, Scania and MAN also Euro 5 except big 16 litre V8s. Other manufacturers use only SCR.
SCR has not been so great they thought, maybe because that catalysator makes too much backpressure. Also the urea consumption has been higher than manufacturers said especially on heavy work. I know some guys have fitted a by-pass pipe with a pneumatic flap valve to SCR engines, they route only 50% exhaust to SCR system and rest through a straight pipe. It's working fine, sensors still see some exhaust so it doesn't throw a CEL light but you get a lot less backpressure and better sound! Might work with US DPF systems also..

#### thats pretty cool! If i had a DPF id play around with it, most guys are afraid to touch the stuff here. For now ill enjoy my non emissinons engine as long as i can.

that sounds small the guys that are using the Cummins turbos on cats are using a bigger wheel than this.
