Right again. I've been going there for a number of years. Everything stays comfortingly the same.

 

I am. thanks for asking. Seems like the threads have gone quiet for awhile. Maybe because the weather has made us all work so hard each day. I've been in Michigan and Wisconsin. Finally got another load South. Made the dogs very happy to see grass again. How about you?

 

Fyi. Those bungee cords held...until they didn't. I learned that freightliner shops are all the same. They stare lazily at you and announce, "Oh we can get to it next week some time." I found an independent shop in Indiana on I69 just south of Michigan border across from the freightliner. First Call is their name and they were great. First come first serve and they git er done. I recommend them.

 

Its kind of a hybrid. They offer loads and you pick from them. Sometimes one just shows up. If I hate it I will refuse it.

 

I work with my fleet manager. If I don't want it he makes it go away. If I want something special he makes it happen. But I strive to have a good relationship. I give as good as I get. If it's
a hard load I'll get it there and they know they can depend on me. No matter what job I'm doing, driving or picking beans, I do my best to be a good hand. It has worked well for me all my life.
