I don't agree with you. Smart nations are using metric system. the metric system (SI system in general ) was developed by Europeans.
French originated the metric system of measurement (now called the International System of Units and abbreviated SI).

if you look around you will see Americans are using many things invented by French ))))) French fries, photography, cinematograph, gambling games and card games for sample..

Im sorry, America owed a huge debt to France. In today's money the Revolution war expenses of France for our will to fight ran about twice the current national budge when counted ONLY in 1's and 10's
