Eh I don't pick up or deliver anything to Peopletoba so I don't run that stretch...
Occasionally if I take 90 instead of 94 I'll drop down 29 to 80 to avoid most of Chicago... that can be a fun ride too

The shortcut us212... never in winter. My balls aren't that big.

I can't count the miles I've driven using the crown in the road to keep me out of the ditch.

Driver must've been loaded low and heavy. Like a load of lead slabs for a car battery plant or something. Trailer slid out, but didn't show any lean towards tipping over.

I woulda parked, but I have never driven in Canada. Don't know the weather or the roads or the parking situation. So i'm not even gonna try to judge this particular situation. I will give the driver props for keeping it moving and outta the ditch or median, though.

Except for the same wind and iced over road and some 6 and 7% grades, zero cell signal, lots of animals at night and the only civilization to be seen is Indian land where they probably all have a difficult time walking a straight line at any given time of day....

In summer yes I'll do it. Winter I will do the 50 miles extra on 90 if going that way.

Saw a lot of trucks doing that one morning on Hwy 7 between Rosetown and Saskatoon. Two lane road, but the wind was blowing them onto their shoulder.
I was empty going the other way, but half of my lane has perfectly dry, so I was able to keep it straight. However since the other half of my lane was glare ice, I couldn’t go over 70 kph (45 mph) as the drives on that side would spin out fighting the wind.
Fortunately I have full locking axles, so I just locked up my forward axle and boogied.

    Well.
    Small balls here I guess.

Have an aversion to excess risk with my new equipment. And the fact I can only get my steers to 11500-11600 makes it squirley.
