This is the dumbest new rule I've heard so now you never going to get a 10 hour possible berth at a walmart. Or any big warehouse where you stage park before going to a dock! Why doesn't the fed start screwing with shippers and giving them insane rules to follow or they get fines, or suites filed?????

Because then shippers would have to think about how they schedule instead of just taking as many trucks in at once even though their yard jockeys have every single door covered.

I think it should be unlawful to hold a truck for more than 4 hours. It only takes an hour at best to get you in a door. Two hours to unload max, depending on the load, it could be shorter. Another hour to count if they need to. They should have to compensate out the ### for anything longer. Maybe then companies will start getting off their ### and doing something.

There should be no reason a company should have a staging area with more than 6 spots unless they have the capacity for more (I'm looking at you, DG).

My (Schneider) Qualcomm doesn't put me on the drive line unless I go a mile after exceeding 5mph. The DriverTech I previously used at my former company allowed 3 miles, so I am struggling a little adjusting to just 1 mile, but if it were really just 1 FOOT at 5mph that would really be awful.

my friend has the new system. as soon as you hit 5 mph it goes to driving. he has to creep around the truck stop after fueling to get a parking stop and that 5 mph is even backing
