Roehl does have a ride along program and a pet ride along program...I worked for Roehl back in 2013 but I came off the road to spend time with family...My dad passed away last week...I called Dean Thompson and asked her about coming back...Boom I was re hired...I will be going back Sept 5. I never really had any problems with Roehl except for their on board truck gps...their route took me through a college and my route from my gps would have taken me 10 miles down the interstate right to the place...Roehl said to follow their route...as soon as I went through the college I called and explained their route to them and then what my route would have been..I explained for now on I would follow their route but if my route became more direct and safer I will go my route..they understood and agreed...Like I said as far as a company Roehl is one of the better ones out there...and they don't bus you...you either fly or they get you a rental car.

Onboard GPS on most trucks is why so many have issues with ending up in dumb ### places. I won't use an onboard GPS at all. If it's insisted on they can have their keys. I have a map and my own GPS. I'll take the safest legal route everyday. #### there onboard cheap map ####.

I appreciate all the detail. I am looking a making a major career change and will incur a big pay cut. How long did it take you to get to the level you ended at? Are the 60k first year figures realistic?

The first 6 months you will not make a lot of cash. Pay your dues and learn. Do what they ask you to do, run hard, don't complain or take 18 hour breaks when you should have taken just 30 minutes and you will be at that level by the end of the first year.

Do not think you can get that home Time by no means. Two years ago they told me in the southeast they don't have any openings for those kind of home times yet so I have been talking to them for over 2 years and they just told me again today all they have is 10 to 14 days out. I think that's for the fee for this done been there 10 or 15 years so yeah heck with roehl time to go with someone else

How does home time work with Roehl? Do they just drop you off at a terminal near where you live? Do you have to live in the same city as the terminal?

I currently work at Roehl. One thing I've not seen mentioned online yet is that Roehl has currently suspended their pet program and are considering removing it entirely due to drivers letting their trucks get trashed and it plainly costing them too much money. #### shame.
