If you are looking to work under someone’s authority, then you are not or you will not be an O/O
Those big companies want you to believe that you are , but believe me they own the operators . You are a driver with more responsibilities . You will work so hard for a penny in comparison of what a real 100% O/O makes.
So my advise to you will be if you don’t feel ready to be an O/O . Park it and drive , learn and save .Intothesunset and Mooseontheloose Thank this. -
I meant PARK YOUR TRUCK

I have met a few drivers/O/O at Roadrunner, they seemed to be doing good. They haul quite a bit of expedite freight, which normally pays very good. In a way they are my companies competition. As far as dedicated, I do not believe so. Intermodal is normally bottom of the barrel freight, $1 a mile stuff. I would not get out of bed to haul that stuff. I would sell my truck if that is all that was out there.
Intothesunset and Hanginthere Thank this. -
