How do you find carriers without using a expensive load board?

Yeah saying 'I have one of the load boards!' doesn't work at all as a broker. Trucking companies get to pick one, brokers need both major boards.

ITS Pro is like $200/mo, DAT Power is around $170/mo. That's per license. It's not cheap, but it's the cost of doing business.

 

I am having the complete opposite problem, and not sure what to do about it. I have an over abundance of carriers, but not enough loads to go around. I'm currently working with 6 bigger companies, who send me their load list every morning (the loads range anywhere from 60 or so up to about 180). First I post them on my paid load boards which post them out on 36 other load board sites. Then, I go through my list of drivers and make specific emails for loads in those drivers areas. Don't get me wrong, I don't get all the load moved but I would like to add more companies to my list, and having a hard time doing so. Any tips? I live in Tennessee, but currently have loads to post in 27 different states.

 

If you got good record for Factoring companies and good rates, why not working with you? I personally can send you email with my trucks location. Or if you have any stable loads can go from there
