I just bought a double drop extendable rgn. I have 4 inches of clearance between the bottom of the trailer and the road. What is the standard distance. And how could I get a little more clearance.
Double drop extendable rgn question. More clearance?

Buy a stepdeck
stwik, Landincoldfire and Ruthless Thank this. -
We have a brand new trail king and it rides tight at 4 inches, but if you need more clearance there should be a height adjustment someplace on the frame. Our Tail King has its adjustments between the axlesRandy68 Thanks this.

That's a redneck fix that really isn't ideal for long term use unless the trailer is out of adjustment. If you adjust the trailer axles up you can increase your running room but you would have to do the tractor too. The problem is the trailer (and tractor) are engineered to run at a certain height, by adjusting up your inflating the bags more and limiting their travel, capacity and useable life.stwik, snowman_w900, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this.

Hydraulic or mechanical? It's most likely designed for 4 inches of clearance unless it's out of adjustment.

I never said it was for long term movements, I was told only to use it I order to 2 or 3 more inches of ground clearance so I don't get hung up on tracks or deep holes, after passed adjust it back down

Normally I would say add deck shim
But that trailer is likely not modular
Is the load blocked at either end of the well -rather than in the middle?
Does I have double dog bones at the front? Are you in the higher of the 2? -
Yeah I agree but the way I read it he wasn't looking for a temporary lift to get over an obstacle.Gunner75 Thanks this.

The problem with shimming the deck is without enough weight the rear axle will run heavier than the front one.
