They have it apart right now and are replacing several things along with fixing the seal. It's going to be a long day. Mechanic was taking a torch to it a few minutes ago. Yeah, just might be in the hotel again.

It was the first thing they replaced. After a few failed road tests, it started leaking again. You just can't safely hit a pothole while going above 40 with this thing. It's just too violent and won't stop until the truck is nearly stopped.

Dang, dang, dang, because stronger language can't be used on here.

Yeah, my frustration is getting the better of me. Cooler heads prevailed. My TM and terminal mechanic are being great about it.

Don’t drive it unless you are 100% sure it’s safe. They can spring for a tow. Last time my Prostar broke down they towed it from Slidell to Mobile Al. I team drove the load back with another driver after the loaner truck they brought me broke down in Montgomery. Went on vacation the next week.

They sent another driver to get my truck back to the yard and it broke down again. They towed it from Montgomery to High Point.

Well, getting what I believe is my 6th night in a hotel. Our terminal mechanic talked to the Mack guy and they're having shocks and something else done.

We'll see what tomorrow holds. Yes, I'm frustrated as all get out.

Drove a 77 Freightliner hood years ago. It got to the point every time I hit a rough spot it the road it would pull / dart to one side. Was in Massachusetts when I fount the problem..... right behind the rear spring mount on the drivers side, the frame was broke bottom to top. Excess grease covered it enough it didn't show just looking at it. Steering box set below the firewall on those trucks, so it had a long drag link.

Yeah, this is a major failure I think. I'm not sure a pair of new shocks is going to fix this problem. Drag link, pitman arm, spring shackles loose...could even be a kingpin.

    Good luck!

Was told the truck is fixed by replacing the shocks. I haven't driven it myself and have been told the same thing 3 other times, so I'm wary.

Waiting on paperwork and taking it out on an easy drive towards home. Will let y'all know the outcome. If after a week it's a broken shock, I'd be surprised.
