    18 day orientation?
What in Sam Hell do they talk about for 18 days?
Some of these schools barely last 18 days

Ha ha...yeah I guess they see for themselves that potential drivers actually have the basics of operating the truck.Schneider orientation is a mix of classroom, yard, and road work.MDS is one day of classroom then a few weeks of hands on roadwork with a trainer

    MarkH129 and Aamcotrans Thank this.

Congrats!! Nationwide numbers show (and predict higher) shortages of drivers entering market. Keep posting to let new drivers know what they can really expect. Best of luck out there!

I just finished the Schneider orientation. Yup, 18 days. Lots of stuff to learn, mostly about company procedures and policy. The first thing they said was, "we are not here to teach you how to drive a truck" so you better have your ducks in a row if you go there. You will go out with a trainer for a week and live on the truck, but again, it's mostly to teach you the Schneider way of doing things. Good luck! and I'm very happy to be a Schneider driver.
