    I live in sioux falls and have been talking with a very good guy there. I have very little verifiable experience but he was able to get me into orientation in January and then out with a trainer till comfortable. Looking forward to it and the money hope the trainer part goes well. I have heard horror stories from people at other companies about otr training. Dose anyone know any info about the training program here? Any info would be great thanks

    Are you going in our flatbed division, or the van division? I can tell you I think you've made a great choice. I have just over 6 years here with Britton and am very happy. If you are going flatbed, you most likely will be riding with me for awhile. I am currently our only trainer in flatbed. They did mention gettingb another one not too long ago. But I don't know if they have yet. As far as training here, my truck is clean, I am clean, easy to get along with, and I just expect you to want to learn. Beyond that, we take it as it comes and teach you what you need to know. If you want to listen, learn, and ask questions, it will go well and it will go quick and you'll be out on your own before you know it. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Who is the guy you have been talking to?

    Mr Ed I have been talking to Mike . I think they are training me out of Grandforks as I did put refer and dry van down on the application but after doing some reading here I wonder if that's the right move as I live in Sioux Falls. I would think it would be better to work out of where you live. What do you think? I am very willing to learn and am looking forward to it.

    Regardless of if you are van/reefer or flatbed, you'd go to orientation in Grand Forks. You should be able to get to S.F. ok even on the van division. The vans go up and down I-29 and across I-90 pretty regularly. Mike is in the Des Moines office. Living down toward Sioux Falls you may get a fair number of loads out of the Des Moines .It doesnt really matter what part of the company you work in. We are OTR. And they'll work with you to make sure you are home pretty regular and can make a fair paycheck in the meantime.

    MrEd yes they seem like a very good company. I think the hardest part will be the training Mike said at first I may be gone from home 3 to 6 weeks. My wife knows this may happen but neather one of us likes the sound of that much. I know I will enjoy it after I get thru the training hopefully it won't take that long.
