I get paid to sit in traffic but even if I didn't I would still recommend it. The reason there's traffic is because there's business, there's no traffic in my little town and no real business either. So I drive to one where there is. That's why I recommend getting there then figure out what you want to do and where you want to be.

Grab a chair and and a cold one!!! Tornadoes ain't nuthin'!!!

Humidity can be brutal here in tornado alley. 80* and 80% humidity, to quote Hank Jr., "...Will make you beg for your next breath..." A person kind of acclimates to it, but some days it still sucks.SAR, snowman_w900, MACK E-6 and 13 others Thank this. -
What's 175 miles amongst friends???

I was trying to figure out what you would load out of Burns on a Saturday or Sunday evening, since you didn't have the cow wagon with you.SAR, snowman_w900, Logan76 and 11 others Thank this. -
We must have gotten enough sprinkles and humidity today to get us out of the extreme category tomorrow.SAR, snowman_w900, Logan76 and 8 others Thank this. -
This just pulled in next to me. I have no idea what it is but it must be heavy? Has Mercer logo and DOT number on the fuel tank and a chase truck. US Air Force numbers on the door.

Can confirm. I've lived in Florida since I was 10. There's a huge difference between Florida heat and California heat.
Not so humid out west. You can walk outta a Walmart in summer in Florida and literally be drenched in sweat by the time you make it to your car.SAR, BoostedTeg, snowman_w900 and 10 others Thank this. -

@SAR, Thanks for the shout-out.
Hopefully you enjoyed the race. Looks like you were headed to the track from that picture. Price of fuel is absolutely ridiculous.
I am in Fl. at the moment. Usually come here for a month or so. Got to get away from those crowds. March Madness is starting so town gets filled up.
Wish we could have met up and had a drink or two.
I recall you are staying till Wed. Always nice to do the Richard Petty Driving School at that track if you had the time. The time I went we had a class of about 6 on the track at one time and ran for 8 laps. I had a average speed of 167. Speed is limited by the pace car. Exciting ride.
Also you could check out Carroll Shelby. They build the Mustang GT350 and the GT500 off the interstate exit for the track, down from the truck stop.
I want thank all you flatbedders for letting a wore out chicken hauler post in your forum. The best forum and knowledgeable people on TTR.SAR, BoostedTeg, 1951 ford and 13 others Thank this.
