Haha true. I would have not allowed that since I had about 100 pounds and 10inches on the poor guy, good driver though. Even though he played rap music full blast when I was trying to sleep. Earplugs did nothing.

While not nearly as dramatic or entertaining.

I had a student that got tired of me telling him to either speed up or slowdown. So he thought he'd be cute and drive into a fuel lane and slam the brakes going 20mph. I pulled the valves and told him to go inside (I was ready to kill him, but I just wanted him out of the driver seat.) I told dispatch and driver development he wasn't stepping foot back in the truck.

This was one of two trainees I kicked off and told the company to fire.

The other decided while in an automatic truck to ignore safe practice with a fully loaded reefer. Got impatient. Hit the fuel instead of switching the Jake levels like I said. (This while going down that pass on I80 going into SLC, parleys?????.)
And in an auto when you hit the fuel the truck shifts up. So we lost our safe gear as a result. Taking us from a safe 30-40mph to a not so good 76 or so mph. I told him to hit the brakes and I down shifted and locked it into manual mode myself. This would have all been fine if he didn't repeat this idiocy twice again elsewhere. So at the next terminal I told him I was taking a vacation, they will find someone else. (Again I told them to fire him.)

My trainer and I are getting along great. Yesterday we were at the fuel island taking my 30 minute. Was in my pajamas emptying our piss jugs when some Swift truck tried to come in the wrong way. Then a crengland truck tried to maneuver around to get out and got stuck. So I hurried and kicked the lot lizard out and placed the last pee bottles under our steer tires and hurried out of there, went around the side, up on the grass and right over the top of a stop sign... while trainer finished emptying trash and a few days worth of Depends out his window... home free leaving the angry voices on the cb behind us.
