Your boss isn't going to need you to drive the truck when/if the highway patrol arrests the other driver.
Rocketfire Thanks this. -
You should have been the one doing the booting out and then go down the road and figure it out from there.
Figure out the greyhound and take a cab to the nearest terminal. Or rent a car or fly. This is why you keep the credit card balance at zero for situations like this.DTP, Studebaker Hawk, rabbiporkchop and 1 other person Thank this. -
First rule of working out of town, ALWAYS have get home money, that way if you gotta pop smoke you’re not jammed up.
It sucks but the company you’re working for should be doing something about this. If not I’d be finding a new job.
As GoKiddoGo said he should’ve got the boot not you.Rocketfire, jammer910Z, Western flyer and 3 others Thank this. -
I cant help, but your company should.
As said he should have gotten the boot, once back in the '80's my dad took on a driver for awhile (o/o) he opened a barley pop heading up 4th of July pass, at the top dad said he needed to stretch his legs, other guy said the same, he climbed out right before his suitcase hit the ground. He got home via greyhoundRocketfire and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
Sounds fishy.
DTP, Studebaker Hawk, Western flyer and 2 others Thank this. -
Thanks guys. Appreciate the response. Oh, nothing fishy here . The company didn't take sides. And took me getting off the truck as quitting my job. But all that doesn't matter now. I didn't want pitty Just help in a way home. That's all. From one driver to another. That's as simple as it got. So opinions. I realize the would have..should have but Ill learn.that now. But right now I was just needing to go home.

I doubt that I'm near you but, insurance policies wouldn't allow me to give you a ride any way. Which by the way will be the biggest problem for you trying to get a ride on a truck. I seriously don't see anyone will to put their job or contract on the line for having an unauthorized passinger on board.
That said, where the heck is the petro 44?
You'll need to give a better description so that someone that may be willing to take a chance can find you.Rocketfire and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
