99 Volvo Manual Fan Switch question

    Hey Everyone, I have a 1999 Volvo 770 with a Detroit Diesel. The truck did NOT come with a manual fan switch from the factory but it did come with the harness. I went to Volvo the other day and picked up a switch hoping it would be an easy plug In and done type of deal and it was for the most part. There's only one small issue. The fan stays "ON" with the switch in the "OFF" position and shuts off with the Switch in the "ON" position. The little light on the switch stays ON indicating the Fan should be running but it's Not. The fan runs when switch is In OFF position. I'm not really good with electrical so not sure if I should swap some wires around behind the switch or try to have a Volvo dealer reprogram the IMG_20180305_220847530.jpg IMG_20180305_220833567.jpg switch?

    On is probably automatic mode...
    "Off" is full on all the time.
