I'm considering coming off the road. Got to run to hard to make anything. I've been running under my authority getting my own loads. Where would I look for potential drivers ?? I'd love to find a nice team looking for a truck. I have an '05 KW T600 with the 86" studio sleeper. Any suggestions ???

I put an ad for a potential driver on Craigslist the other day and my phone rang off the hook!

Yeah, A friend of mine put an ad on some website and the local newspaper....you wouldn't believe some of the ya-hoo's that have called them! One guy called and told them he'd need to gross 4-6 grand a week or he couldn't work for them......
! Yeah like thats gonna happen in times like these...lol

I have made that mistake before. Just a word of caution; reasearch any of those people very deeply. It seems like all calls I got from Craig's list ads were not anybody I'd consider hiring even if I could.

That's why I posted here. I don't want to run a random ad just anywhere. Hopefully I'll get some hits/ideas from this post. I would be very very careful about who I put in the truck. I figure there are some qualified drivers out there that would love the opportunity to be an O/O without having to buy a truck or go thru all the paperwork.

consider the AD and also put that there is a application fee, that may cut thru the rift raft, that way you get to the cream.

Wish I had the money I would buy that T6 from ya.

If you're picky about your truck like i am, good luck. I started out with a good driver, lost him got what i thought was a good one and he turned out to be a nightmare, fired him and got the good one back. Most of the good drivers stay with the larger company's that offer benefits that i can't match. I don't know about you, but with a one horse operation all i can offer is a nice truck to drive, good pay and a few bonuses here and there. I know a couple of guys that use lease trucks and put drivers in them, for the most part when they hire someone they're just looking for a driver with a valid CDL and a pulse. High turnover means a lot of wear and tear on a truck, something any small operation can't afford.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Tuckster...I received your reply to my post but haven't been a member long enough to send you a reply I guess. I am interested but need to figure out a way to contact you.
Thanks
