If it is what I remember it to be there should have been 4 truckstops there in my time, a old 76, speedway, a TA that was torn down and rebuilt plus a 4th one I cannot recall. The speedway is gone and the 76 razed. The new TA is probably still there.

Who knows? The land is more valuable than the facilities these days.

As of last year it was still a active drop yard. All the facilities we're closed but had some porta John's open for business. Place is spooky.

Used to be a good terminal when I got my first truck and lived up that way. Always had a place to park.

It still is. If you're willing to pay 50% more then its worth, we'll sell it to you.

The tinfoil hat wearers amongst us think that a large part of why it was closed was to ditch the union mechanics. To avoid breach of contract they had to close the whole thing and "sell" it. Then in a few years they could reopen. Only problem is vancant buildings decay pretty quickly. The old OC in Green Bay is apparently chock full of mold, electrical is shorted out, and the plumbing is shot. In other words the building is a total gut job, but we're still asking a working condition price.

never could figure out why they would leave, what was obviously a very nice facility at one time dark, and then rent a crap hole like Obetz 20 miles away. But, it's Schneider math, folks. Don't worry about the mule being blind, son.......just load the wagon

Steel Dragon, lovetwodrive and 91B20H8 Thank this.
