You have some nice pics there. I've been posting some of mine, though
I can't say I'm real talented. Most of these are from my last two digi P&S
cameras, though I think I have one or two scanned prints in there as well.

    Here's one of my favorites:

I use Photoshop CS2 to sharpen and work with my images. You can really do so much with it. My goal is to use my time on the road to create a nice portfolio of marketable prints. I earn a decent amount of money now from print sales, but not enough to get out of the truck...yet. I got away from doig models and commercial work because I just was not getting anything out of it. I really enjoy being able to stop and capturing what I see. I find myself constantly "framing" potential shots. Something that I keep seeing is shots from bridges. But it is very difficult to stop and get them. I just can not hit a shoulder for such a thing.

That's one of the issues I have with my current digi P&S. By the time it boots and is ready, the moment is gone. I hope to have a better time of it with the new camera.

Photoshop is way pricey. Unless I can get a decent student price, I'll just keep plugging away at learning the GIMP. Not real good yet, but I did manage a rough improvement of a tugboat pic with it.

The 50 f1.4 is a very nice and fast lens. I have and think it's a very good lens for the money. I use mine for low light, and indoor shots of the family. Don't knock the 50 f1.8 either, it's a steal at under $100. I had it for a number of years before upgrading to the 1.4.

Have you tried Photoshop Elements? It's a cut down of the the full Photshop to just photo related work.

I know Adobe has a student discount, I don't know the details of the program.

I used to have an Canon EOS 300D with a couple of lenses, but now I'm shooting with a new EOS 40D, because the autofocus-system of the 300D wasn't working anymore. I bought the EOS 40D because that one uses the same memory-cards and batteries as the 300D. Anyway, I'm very happy with my 40D now.:D

A canon 5D with a few L lenes, and some studio equipment.

Hyper, what part of Texas are you from. Are you a member of Texas Photo Forum? If not you should check them out. They have a bunch of great members, including myself, and it's very informative. They also put on a lot of little classes, some are for beginner but there are some really good advanced ones also.

I use my old faithfull Sony Cybershot DSC-P52, 3.2 mega pixel camera. It seems to work good. I am looking to upgrade soon tho. I'd like to get one with at least 8 mega pixels and much better zoom.
