You will be using a 379 short nose most likely for the skills test in oregon but it is a peice of cake as long as you can back the truck up and not hit anything. But rember to goal before back into the hole.

The hardest part about that test is when to do a half circle driving in between the barrels without hitting any.

But as long as you watch your mirrors and the front end it will be not too bad.

The guy doing the skills portion of the trainning is a cool guy if you are having problems just ask for his help he is more than happy to help you out.

There is no pass of fail on the skills portion but you will not leave there unless he thinks you are ready.

I have used some of the stuff I went over there so do not think you will never use it.

It is kind of like the things you did in cdl school but they will teach you a little more.

If you are a experienced driver you should have no problem with the drive test, ill-regardless of what kind of tractor it is. The curb or the barrel does not matter you could have just removed my hood just as easily. SO if you touch something with any part of the tractor or trailer you should fail, that is correct.

just got back from brooks and I did very well on the skills test and then went on the road test just as it starting snowing really hard. I passed the drive test as well and should be getting my truck sometime next week. On the skills test, just make sure you get out and look. I got out probly 20 times between all the different tests. I never hit one cone or barrell, not even on that right turn test between the 2 tires. just took my time and asked all the questions i could.
