I was hoping to get real current information about keeping them going. Yes you can search and find lots of opinions but little fact. I'm still running a Mercedes powered Columbia that hasn't had any problems described on the forum.

Hey Hammer, ive had my Maxxforce for about a year now and nothing really major has had to be done...yet. as long as you keep up on maintaince you will get a year out of them. Dont let the maxxforce haters get to you, every engine has its problems. But if you are getting them from a dealer ask them about getting them diamond renewed. Thatll give you the warranty for the whole year you want to run em

My company had bought 6 Maxx Forces on a good deal. They say the ones manufactured after 2012 are the ones that had the kinks fixed. We have 11s, 12s, and 13s. I'm in a 13 now, and it's the best I've been in out of the bunch. The only majorly expensive repair I've experienced with the 11 and 12 I was in was when the DPF became full and they had to take it off and put it in that oven. There's been minor things like replacing hoses but I've been able to get the most out of them. It's just like any standard truck the megas operate to me. I've been keeping my cruise at 62 or 63, especially under heavy loads...you'll get the best fuel mileage out of them. Also periodically make sure you put that Lucas Oil DPF deep clean in your fuel tanks. Youll increase your power with this additive. Maintain it just like you normally would and don't dog it out, you'll get the most out of it.

THEY ARE SELLING THEM CHEAP FOR A REASON . Run like hell they are garbage will cost you plenty to keep running. Parts are high from International and no repair is quick or simple. EGR coolers , EGR valves , Turbos (they have two) A/c always troublesome . Nice cabs, ride good when they run good power Always some kinda check engine light on.
Western flyer Thanks this. -
They are not all bad.....I haven't had any problems outside of the regular maintenance. These trucks tear up for the same reason any other truck tears up. Drivers dog them out. The only thing that I had done was the dpf maintenance. At least you don't have to go the dealer to get that done. They can do that at the TA and Petro now. I'm talking about how they bake it for 12 hrs. For me, the MaxxForce, especially those manufactured after 2012, are like any other standard company truck.

That's cheaper than a 10 year old pick up truck.
Don't be stupid, there complete junk.
They are nothing like any other standard company truck.
They've been sued out the ### and admitted
Themselves that they are junk. -

Update
I have had one on the road for a month and the second for 3 weeks. I have had to put a sleeper window in the first truck besides washer solvent and greasing the drive line. The third truck needed the oil pressure sender replaced due to the last person not making sure the connector was completely connected. I have that truck ready to go. The last truck I have yet to put in service has the brake lights come on after the air has bled off. I haven't figured that out yet. I'm getting there slowly as I drive and have 9 trucks to get ready for the next week.
