I’ve heard of the scale in superior wi open late.
Promptly did a u turn and took another route. Wasn’t trying to find out for myself.
The st croix scale entering mn from wi never closes. Probably the easiest to get around though, just take 95 north to 36.Big_D409 Thanks this. -

Cattleman84 and Rounded_nut Thank this.

The TN scale on 65s from Kentucky is never closed. There could be a hurricane and it'll still be open. Same with the Kentucky scale on 65n in Franklin. On the opposite side I have never seen a scale open in Pennsylvania except once and Michigan's scales are usually closed it seems.
There is no scale on 65s in Seymour Indiana but apparently there is some weigh in motion thing in the roads and sometimes dot will hang around and send trucks around to the nb scale if they think something is up. -
Every large scale house in Cali is open 24/7. I’m pretty sure they tell their children that Santa isn’t real and head off to work on Christmas morning.
bottomdumpin, motocross25, whoopNride and 2 others Thank this. -
- Do you know how fast you were going?
- Hmmm...
- You were doing 72. Speed limit is 70. Let me see your logbook...
Iowa has the most anti-trucker DOT cops in the country. Sure some of their scale houses had been closed permanently, but biege Dodge Chargers and white Tahoes are out there, sitting and waiting for you 24/7. This is also one of the few states in the country where your truck can be searched during random level-3 inspection. Had 3 roadside inspections in this anti-trucker state in 2017. -
MD’s finest grabbed me 3 times in a MONTH last year at the scale on s/b US-13 north of Salisbury.Big_D409 and spyder7723 Thank this. -
