They pretty good out of Knoxville? I “live” in dandridge but tbh I don’t even have a place. I’m on the road so much I just have my mail sent to my grandmas house .

Estes is where the money is, but if you want to live in the truck, I'd go with some outfit with fancy trucks and has all the driver comfort amenities.

He's sure wrong about that. If I had to start my driving career all over again I'd look for something like the OP is considering. Those are career jobs.
I drove tanker for PIE until they folded up. Motels every night and meals in places that actually treated you as a person.
If they were still in business I'd still be there.

 

We had a combined freight and tanker terminal. If freight got busy the extra board tanker guys would do line haul or peddle freight. Made for a nice payday.
