You do realize that the cascadias are running dd13 and dd15 emgines, no dd60, right? So completely different engine. Also most fleet trucks are specd way below the max that detroit diesel advertises.
-
FLDs are still considered part of the “cool” trucks, IIRC.
They were the last decent thing Freightliner ever made.Short Fuse EOD, Roberts450, Badmon and 2 others Thank this. -
Smarter than the average driver.spyder7723 Thanks this.

Then your complaint should be with the engine, not the truck.
-
Ride and sleeper are way better in a Cascadias. IMO.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

My point is they are different trucks,
-
Well duh. But changing a bunch of aero stuff did not suddenly make them not drive in snow. Good grief how does freight ever get delivered in the winter considering Cascadias are the highest selling trucks out there?
The very first Cascadias still had the last of the 60 series as well. They introduced the dd13- dd15 in 07 but still had a bunch of the 60's. -
When this whole diverison started all I said is the cascadias don't drive well in low traction situations. I said nothung about the engine, or the rear axle ratio, that came later as guys said its the same as any other truck.
I just they handle like a drunken cow on ice or packed snow. -
Century's had a longer wheel base. My Cascadia has a 242 WB, that's longer than 97% of them.06driver Thanks this.
