Well you'd think with this past week we just had, I would have some more pics, but nope. This was taken on Saturday, around mid-day or so. I80 was shut down over the sisters, some accident on the WB side, Im not sure what caused it...heard Fed-Ex...heard a Uhaul...etc. I DID see a passenger car with his front end smashed in, took pics, but...it wasn't a truck! lol so Im not posting it. Also saw a pickup truck that went through a guardrail as well.

Anywho...Im not sure what happend with Mr. Yellow here, he was on a downhill slope...but it looks like the tail trailer there got in the snow and he wasn't able to get out of it. He was completely stopped and waving trucks by.

I would have taken some pics on Friday night too, as a storm came through and the chain law was in effect, and you have the "Im a truck driver I dont need to put on chains" people out there, who kept getting stuck. My cam doesnt take good continuous pics at night however, so I didn't get any of those.

I saw this guy. He was putting chains on when I went by. Saturday about 3-4 pm or so.

So you were in the WB Maze of about 4000 trucks or so? Once they reopen the interstate, the race begins!

Lol...seriously 3-4pm? WTF, is he getting paid by the hour???! I passed him around 1!

But yeah i was in that maze. I had heard about it on the CB and so I pulled off at that Cafe/ truck stop in Lyman at exit 41, stayed there until about 12-1230 or so. My wife had headed out earlier and heard about it, and since she was going to the SLC airport, they monkeyed around south although Im not sure how they did it. I've heard of drivers going up on 412 and taking 189 back down to I80, getting back on there. And I've heard of a southern route too, which I can't figure out at the moment (darned google maps)...but I figured Id be better off staying put.

Im always in that position, should I stay up for a bit, go to bed and take a nap? lol what to do? I dont want to go take a nap and wake up with everyone gone, although that is what happened, lol...I think I woke up about 10-15 minutes after I80 opened. I wasn't in a rush because I knew it would be one big ol clusterhug. Although I should have grabbed a bite at that cafe, never went in there before, but I keep hearing rave reviews about it.

I haven't ate there either. Little Americas OK. I know a southern route from Evanston to Coalville but that's about it. But hell if your in Evanston already the hard parts over might as well take 80, unless you want to bypass the Echo POE.

Today's storm kinda petered out, thankfully.

Hey, keep that Camara rolling Ziggy. I might have to start taking mine along. There is plenty of entertainment on Hwy 30 as well.

Well my route takes me from....where I live, lol....to Evanston, and then northern Utah. During the summer, I take the Logan Byway via the mountains and come back across US / UT 30. However due to the weather, I now have to loop back south and take 84 and 80 back the same way I came.

Ill have to look at my fold up WY map, but its in the truck...Ill figure it out tomorrow, but I seem to remember a highway cutting over there from Lyman, didn't seem too bad, just doesnt make sense that I can't find it on Google maps.

Yeah Little America isn't too bad, I ate at that one building with the restaurant in it...seemed pricey for basic meals, nothing unique. I heard on the Trucking #### show last week, a trucker made a website for other truckers to contribute to, in regards to finding good places to eat on the road...just can't remember what it was...grr.
