You go out with the trainer at Prime as well, but the diffrent is its about 2 weeks with your permit and they advance you $200/week if you need it but you don't have to take it.
Once you come back, you do your cdl test and day you pass you start getting paid $700/ week as actual company pay. You ride with a trainer for a 30k miles while making $700/week but if you do over 5k miles in a week as a team you make more.
On my trainers truck I had a few $800/weeks while in training and almost every week I made over the base $700.
IMO its silly to pay for a school with programs like prime's out there. Even if you go to a cdl school, when you get hired you will still get stuck in a trainers truck for some time no matter what mega you go to.
Best Mega CDL Program?

I graduated Millis 2/7/17. I considered Prime as well. I average 950 take home training after the 100 a week I lay for 5 weeks.
My trading is only 1000 since I’m a vet, but you are paid .42cpm for every mile in trainers truck, regardless of who drives.
They also accept your DOT physical from your own dr. Prime does not.
luckily when I was in school, I was the only student, so I had 1-1 training.
I personally have black listed any company that forces a physical by concentra..JoshG210 and Truckermania Thank this. -
Example, the vision test.. The sign is set up to be 10ft away, but where they have you stand is 12-15ft away. It's way too far back.
I couldn't pass my eye test with Prime with out wearing glasses, meanwhile I passed the eye test at the DMV so I dont have glasses on my license but have them on my dot exam...
I will get my dot done else where after my 1st one expires. (Yes you can go outside but has to be a approved vender or some ####)
2nd.. I know nothing of the cpap things but it seemed like waaay too many people were being told they needed to be on the cpap machines.. Just me talking ####, but I swear someone somewhere must be getting kick backs for that.. I could imagine it's pretty profitable for who ever is selling the cpap machines.... just saying if you even think you would maybe need it, you will need it according to Primes in house Drs..
Prime is very strict on monitoring useage even on your home time they will keep you parked if you didn't use it.. I doubt Id ever need one of those but if they tried to say I did, I'd quit on the spot.Last edited: Mar 12, 2018

Millis and I'd say it really isnt even close anymore. 3 wks lf school then 15,000miles with a trainer. During school you don't get paid, but once with a trainer you are paid .42cpm for all miles the truck runs. Doesnt matter who drove the miles. You should easily get 3200-3600 while with a trainer and thats without teaming. Im a trainer at Millis and I refuse to team. When I have a student we are always over 3200 miles and thats a low week.
HeyDogg and Aamcotrans Thank this. -
What's better to eat? Cow crap, horse crap, or pig crap?
Personally I would never want to eat any crap, so the question is moot.
Go get your cdl from a school then choose a company that won't make you eat crap.Ryan423, ChaoSS and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
Well, pick the one that makes you eat the least of it anyway..

And we've got over 3700miles each week so far without teaming. He drives out his clock and then I may hop over drive 3 4 5+hrs just depends on load, and then we take at least an 8hr break but usually full 10.doninwooster Thanks this. -
