Schneider Trucks/GPS

I took I-80/I-90 across Indiana/Ohio once and was never charged for it... It might depend on your DBL.
I also never did that again though. The only reason I risked it in the first place was because I was behind on time. I'm not sure if they weighed the on-time delivery versus the tolls.

I have heard, though, that you can call your DBL and pre-authorize routes that would save time. I've never done it, but I have re-written my own routes a couple of times. Never bothered about it, and I've never seen a dime taken out of my pay for it.

Yes you can as long as there is a bunk restraint. Trust me, I checked into this... since I was on a trainer truck with 3 total people. Me, my husband and the trainer.

 

I don’t know about Schneider’s training when it comes to brand new drivers. We came over as an established team with experience.

 

usually 2 trainees and 1 trainer for that week. trainer on duty in the passenger seat. trainees swap driving duties.

Well for us (different company). We each had to get 180 drive line hours before we was done with training. My husband and I ran like a team, pretty much from jump. The trainer was in the jump seat most of the time but not always. It got to where he was up half of my shift and half of my husband’s shift. We was also in an automatic which I hear makes a Trainer’s life a lot easier.
Our trainer also drove while we was doing a rolling reset. so trust me I was ready to get off that truck!!!
