Is this thread for real? Since when does a cpm rate claimed, dictate whether a company is good or bad to drive for. There's dozens of other factors that are considered by well-qualified truck drivers with a reputation they are trying to protect.
But all that aside, if one is risk averse enough to consider a 1099 carrier, they may as well go owner-op and lease to a carrier with a longstanding reputation and respected by all in the industry.
BIG QUESTION? WHY 90% OF THE PPL WORK FOR AMERICAN MAJOR COMPANIES FOR 38 CPM WHEN WE ALL PAY 55

Looking at the G2 Connect Inc. details on saferweb they're a single truck outfit in business for 3 months. So much for "we" sounds more like "me". Sounds trolly to me.
BigHossVolvo, mjd4277, DSK333 and 2 others Thank this. -
70k per year after taxes is roughly $46,200.00 to 55k ...
After healthcare expenses subtract another $17,000...
$29,000.00 per year after taxes and healthcare costs is a joke.
That's why no smart people want to work for your company.
Lonesome, driverdriver, Tb0n3 and 3 others Thank this. -
Now some folks hide their tax, risk not having insurance, and the like. But an apples to apples comparison that is a reflection of what they are actually paying compared to Knifty, Werner, Punkin.
No benefits, huge tax liability, risk of huge fines if caught (because they are abusing the 1099 code with you in their truck).rabbiporkchop, Tb0n3 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Now that you mention it...rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -

Your company must be a bad company, since you posted here. Why would anyone want to work for a bad company, even at 00000.55 a mile?
Vic Firth Thanks this. -
Maybe if he doubles what he pays to $1.10 per mile with the 1099 it wouldn't be so bad.
4 bucks a mile to the truck would allow him to do that. I think he needs to raise his rates.x1Heavy, Justrucking2 and Lonesome Thank this.
