it also serves to encourage fuel pump area loitering, as well an any other "parking spot" that can be found at the appropriate time, whether it's a good, safe place to park or not.
Any log auditor today will have an easy day finding fuelings where all time was logged Off Duty or Sleeper, and no On Duty time can be found anywhere near the City/St where fuel report log output shows a fuel transaction occurred. Oh well, C'est la vie

The 30 minute break has increased my productivity. I run at least 500 more miles a week due to being more refreshed. I can back a trailer more accurately. Paperwork mistakes are a thing of the past since I am now laser sharp. I can now speak three languages thanks to the extra time in a week I dedicated to it.
I can get an online degree in just under 17 years if I use my 30 minute break efficiently.Bob Dobalina, Bean Jr., homeskillet and 3 others Thank this. -
On paper logs I showed three 30 minute breaks per day on average.
homeskillet and Tug Toy Thank this. -
But I don’t want to share the road with truck drivers that drive 22 hours a day.
You know this type...
“If I’m away from home I’m gonna be driving and not sitting in a truckstop”Bean Jr. and VIDEODROME Thank this. -
Does it also help you count to 20 without having to take your shoes off?
-
Or 0 if your whole 30 minute break your thinking about how you really should be driving

After 15 years: it’s a crappy waste of time for me; although, now I’ve utilized it for an additional walk with my furry companion! It’s still really stupid! In my opinion....

It's interesting to contrast this with the non-trucking jobs I've had. At a retail job I had, we got 30 for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. In trucking though, people don't want these breaks.
