The 30 minute break has increased my productivity. I run at least 500 more miles a week due to being more refreshed. I can back a trailer more accurately. Paperwork mistakes are a thing of the past since I am now laser sharp. I can now speak three languages thanks to the extra time in a week I dedicated to it.
I can get an online degree in just under 17 years if I use my 30 minute break efficiently.

 

On paper logs I showed three 30 minute breaks per day on average.

 

But I don’t want to share the road with truck drivers that drive 22 hours a day.

After 15 years: it’s a crappy waste of time for me; although, now I’ve utilized it for an additional walk with my furry companion! It’s still really stupid! In my opinion....

 

It's interesting to contrast this with the non-trucking jobs I've had. At a retail job I had, we got 30 for lunch and two 15 minute breaks. In trucking though, people don't want these breaks.
