Hey guys what do you think about "the ugly fix"? To save me from fixing the egr valve and spending $1000+ to fix it? Any info will help.

Doesn’t work anyway. Causes other issues later on.
Justrucking2 and dustinbrock Thank this. -
And my understanding is, your EGR has to be working correctly in the first place before using the ugly fix....
jsnell Thanks this. -
The valve is working correctly, but I've heard that they are expensive to fix. So if I can take that out with the ugly fix that would be great. What issues does it cost?

IDK about 4 years ago I had one on mine(had it on there for awhile)...took it off to take it to freightliner to fix some issues.....turns out a bad EGR was part of the issue,,,, ugly fix didn't work for me...
-
Did you get any benefits besides the bad?
-
The egr noise went away.... in ran like a 12.7, or at least sounded like it!
I thought this thread would be closed by now... -
