slingblade i have been on that road I had a 94 pete ran good about 6 months dropped a motor spent around 26k total by the time they got all the extra bs done.
Before i got to it to pick up it they claimed the brain went out there was another 2200.
month later air bag blew in washington state here my guy woulda fixed for 250 bucks there it cost me 1200.old trucks are nice till they break they can put you out of biz in a hurry.
bigorangefan all companines lie but sofar they have been good.hometime is not somthing that goes well with a lease you must stay out a bit to make it work firgure for every week u off it will take at least a week to catch up say you take off 4 days well that week and the following week are screwed.
you being a lease can take off as much are as little as you want your the boss to a point myself ill drive 4-5 weeks then take 4-5 days off.
    meat lol good call ty

I just started at transam as company driver got 11 hrs left on my driver training than take couple test n get my own truck.Since i have started talking to them at cdl school everything they have told me was staight up and honest. They start me out at .32cpm ,and are switching over to all T660's,say when i get my truck, my choice of color it will have around a 1,000 miles on it .They have to run a couple of loads to get here from olathe ks,to drop it off here for the new guys.In training i've ran right at 2500 miles a week
.............Anyway back on track they are a good company so far .talked to 3 lease guys in rockwall tx. and are gettin over 3,000 miles week.Word is there is guy out there who has 26 lease's and runs his own drivers .........could be a myth........

I see they are paying .84 per mile and a generator is there.

Do they pay a fuel surcharge?

Thumper good luck and best wishes with your lease. I hope it works out for ya, and don't listen to the cry babies out there. You have 14yrs plus being a previous O/O you know what your getting your self into. I'm sure that if the figures weren't what you were expecting you would not have made that move.. Yes freight is slow (normal for this time and yr) plus the economy being bad. But the economy and freight will com back, it always does, so good luck to you.. And most people who need to know what kind of equipment ie motor tire size, just use that info for bragging right, when talking crap with other drivers..

DoubleDragon thanks for the input and you pretty much hit the nail on the head,
One thing I said in the beginning if I am notmaking what I was told I know where the door is if I am not happy and frieght DOES big word there lol then come summer Ill get a truck and go back on my own this time with a refeer instead of car hauler unless of course that picks up

I have noticed a lot of car haulers running around empty these days. I know back during their hay days it was the way to go. But with the Big 3 having all kinds of financial troubles I don't see that getting any better in the near future. Refer seems to be the new thing these days, as we still need to eat..

You should look up a member here by that goes by the name EagleOne. Talk to him and his wife about Trans Am. I'm sure they can fill you in on their experience with that lease.
