Has anyone gone through Refer Training with Maverick? Looking at getting back into trucking (long story, I have posted about) Have read about Flat bed and Glass but nothing about Refer. I am trying to decide between Jim Palmer, Prime and Now Maverick

    SHOJim Thanks this.

Sorry I haven't been able to give you more information. I can only say it's important to look at the company, I can tell you Maverick is straight. Good Luck!

    Need4Speed and firemedic2816 Thank this.

I'm liking everything I am reading just would like to talk to a driver or 2 with the company in the Refer section but thank you for replying. Are you happy with the company? Do they have Auto or Manuals?

From my experience, Maverick is a great company. They have stood behind everything they have told me and then some. They have autos. I can’t comment specifically about the reefer division.

You need to spend more time with your research. Our trucks are maroon.

WHAT? I am aware of the Color of your trucks. Was looking for information on training for the Temp Controlled side, everything I have found is about Flat Bed and Glass Division Neither of which I'm interested in. But thanks

I'm interested in finding out more as well - most YouTube videos on show training for flatbed where their refer side is a no show for some reason.

As for the color of the trucks it is a tie between Burgundy and Maroon (if you check at a car dealership they will tell you the close difference)

From what I understood Refer just starts with their Trainers after orientation. Glass goes thru Flatbed securement then after that a few days with the Glass part.

    Pretty much.

After the first week of orientation the flatbed and glass folks go over to the shed for 7 days of flatbed securement training. The refer folks get a 1 or 2 day course on some of the particulars of the refer side (not sure what, I'm on the flatbed side) and then they get hooked up with their trainers.
