It usually dosent get too bad south of Ely. But then Tuesday even SOcal got snow. Sooooooo.....
And the interior of NV is pretty much constantly windy. Some days worse than others.
I'll be on a poker run tommorow, so if you see 100 bikes go by. You'll know I was with em.

Livingston, MT.
I'm on my way to a 2 stop Home Depot load into WY. Sheridan and then Gillette.
As I'm coming in to Livingston there are severe wind warnings and weather radio reported 56MPH gusts at Livingston. The high winds are between here and Big Timber, about 40 miles east and on my route.
Luckily this is where I planned to spend the night anyway.
It was only 3 miles before my exit that those high winds started kicking in full force.
I need to leave by 0515 to make my first delivery in Sheridan, and I'm just hoping the winds die down that early.
There are different reports on the NOAA website as to when they will die down. One says by 1600 tomorrow and the other says sometime in the morning. The worst will be overnight, but I am only at 22k so 50 plus is dangerous.FerrissWheel, fr8monkey, JOHNQPUBLIC and 1 other person Thank this. -

You know me...
My first concern is being safe, followed closely by a good dinner and a long break for the night.
When my safety is a factor, the customer can simply wait and reschedule.FerrissWheel and fr8monkey Thank this. -
Good night from Eatontown, NJ. Just checking in on you guys and gals and so happy to see everyone still here and doing well. Be safe and well!

I just thought of you today and wondered how you're doing! Not good if you're still in Jersey I guess. (From one who said, screw this cesspool, and left 43 years ago.) Happy you're doing good, Doc.

I'm not sure where I would rather be stuck. NJ and the north east or in the far western states.
I guess in the far western states, which is where I have been stuck in for the past couple months.
I'm in Sparks, NV. I have a delivery tomorrow in Red Bluff, CA - assuming the roads are clear.
Tomorrow morning is the sweet spot for getting out of here, so I'm hoping.DocWatson Thanks this. -
Speaking of being stuck...
I picked up a load of wood chips in Ukiah, CA yesterday morning headed to Shafter, CA.
Everything would have been fine as I had about an hour extra of drive time, and then...
And accident on I-580 just before I-880 in the bay area. That ate over 1/2 hour.
Then heading down CA-99 traffic slowed to a stop in several places because of heavy rain, and another half hour was gone.
So it ended up with me being short on my 11 by about 10 minutes and I had to shut down just short of delivery.
I found out this morning when I got there to deliver that they do not receive on the weekends, so I am stuck waiting until Monday morning. -
