Step deck securement gear list

I can tell you what I have on my trailer right now. I’ve yet to run across anything that can’t be secured with it(but I’m sure I will in the next few days now)...

10 chains, 10 snap binders, 21 straps, 2 tarps(6 foot drop), 2 tarps(8 foot drop). 45 feet of shock cord times 8, 18 feet times 8, 12 feet times 8. 50 bungees, rough mix of 21” and 31”. 2 winch bars, a good ladder, 12 4x4... 10 x 2 foot edge protectors. 22 x 4 inch edge protectors.

I would love to get rid of the 8 foot drops and get some 4 footers and a steel tarp or two. But yea, your list is way overkill and maybe I’m tired and didn’t see it, but you will want to keep a tarp or two around. I know guys with their own authority who command high rates because most people don’t keep tarps with 8 foot drop, or they refuse to use them.

 

To make life easier paint the hooks different colors for different lengths.
Don’t over do it on tarps until you get a feel for what you need.
