When did you work there and for how long? If you did not work there where did you get the pay information?

But 'others' on this thread are absolutely wrong; I did indeed work for Schneider and I do speak from experience.
Regarding pay; Really, there are no secrets, and there is no additional 'hidden' pay. The figures given do speak for themselves; just put it together for yourself....
.36 CPM X Maybe 2000 miles per week realistically (and good luck doing that) = $720.00
2 loads per day at $30.00 per load X 5 days per week = $300.00
Total = $1020.00.
That's it, no more.
And each working day is at least 12 hours long (that is, if you want to attempt to make the above amount).
I don't know where you live but here's the deal; physically go to any Schneider terminal and speak with the actual drivers.
Ask them how much they average per week, and ask them how long that they have worked there.
Pay particular attention to how much actual time a driver has been the company since the new guys have all been conditioned to think that, even though current pay is terrible, it will get better with time and experience. It wont. See if the same drivers are there in 6 months.
I will say that Local pays much better than Regional (although the Schneider website claims the opposite). Ask the drivers about that also.
That's a challenge that I make not only to you, but also to Stevep1977 (and any other company schill) as well.
I'm doing my share to try to warn you from totally wasting your time; seems that certain others could give a rat's behind; they just want to appear to be 'right'.
They're not; they're wrong, which I can back up, and that's why I give the above challenge; something that I doubt anybody else is much willing to do.Last edited: Mar 16, 2018

When someone comes on here (you) making statements as fact (about SNI Intermodal pay) which is a job I may be interested in, I ask questions. I asked lots of questions because I am a detail oriented guy.
I prefer to see what I can find out prior to dealing with any company recruiter. Some of what I know about SNI intermodal has been picked up from what seems to be legitimate information on this site and others. I ask questions to try to sift thru possible facts from bulls__t because there is tons of B.S. on this site.
Usually when someone is story telling they either do not answer my post or eventually respond after a long delay but still do not answer my direct questions. Maybe it is a reading comprehension problem. For example in this situation, in my first post to you on this thread, I say where I live and why I was asking my questions. In your last post you said that you do not know where I live.
The questions I asked you - which was not answered until your most recent post -
was how do you know this? Did you work there and for how long? You still haven't answered the how long portion. You now say you worked there. So here comes more questions if you care to indulge me.
With regards to the mileage pay, you said you were paid .36 per mile & stop pay and that is it. Nothing else. Isn't there performance pay, paid out every week for things like days available to work, idle time percentage and things like that can add up to several CPM on top of your base mileage pay if you do well with those things?gentleroger Thanks this. -

Also, in the New England terminal that I worked out of, extra bonuses for xtra days worked were seldom offered, and still don't add up one whole heck of a lot in the stream of a week's pay.
And I will say that making $90,000 a year as a Regional intermodal driver is complete rubbish.
Just figure out the average miles and loads together, for a weeks time since these two factors are by far the 'bread and butter' of your salary.
I say that as a Regional driver, you will be taking home between $750.00-$900.00 (and I'm figuring a little on the high end; traffic, breakdowns and all those hours just sitting...and sitting..getting loaded or unloaded ((even with all that whopping detention pay)) and all for 12 hours plus, every day.
I've mentioned to check out the terminals in person and to physically speak with real drivers. You're not going to get any more honest information than that (unless they are trying to scam you for recruiting you, therefore getting a nice recruiting bonus). Can't blaim them; got to pay the bills somehow.
Better yet; just go for it. Sign up and start asap and keep us posted.
It would be great to see the day to day happenings of a Schneider Regional Intermodal driver in real time. -
JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this.

Well, it looks like ol' JOHNQ took my advice and got the real scoop from actual drivers in person.
Good choice for moving on to better ventures.
