Too many tornadoes lol

 

You ever look up how many tornados Indiana has vs us? They get em too.

It just takes one to ruin your day.

 

I’m also looking at AR logistics and Foodliner and trying to see if any of these places have local work or maybe work that’s a couple nights out a week.

 

I don't even know what 3/4s of that junk is

 

Welp it's became obvious I'm a cranky old #######.

Guy i sorta know well call him Al shows up today with a 91 379 fresh earl shive paint. Fan don't work bolted solid breather tubes with holes boost gauge un hooked (didn't know it didn't work pyro stuck on 650.) Says I give 45k for it #### them e logs. I laughed went back inside so he knocks on the door and says when ya gonna start I said when I get a 5k deposit you got enough money to over pay for a heap, I reckon you can pay me. He got mad and left.

They called me a fool for wanting to gather parts years ago. I ain't turning anything loose I may need far as o know might need it all

 

Ya know, we have two 89s, one is a 378 with a 4MG, retarder, Jake's, a reman 18918B, DSP46 two speed rears. We pulled the engine and had it rebuilt and resealed the retarder. It and the reman transmission are sitting on the shop floor. As soon as I get a chance we're going to take the tractor in an get it painted while the engine and trans are out.

The other is a 379 that I bought at an auction to get us by while rebuilding the 378. It also has a 4MG with retarder but no Jake, 15 speed, aluminum frame. We have wet kits on both trucks.

The reason that I bring all this up is that I was going to sell the 379 as soon as we get the 378 going. It is probably worth about 15k.

After your comments I'm not so sure that it might be worth more just to keep it for a spare, or a donor truck for parts. If not for the aluminum frame it would be well worth cleaning up. My beloved wife probably won't see the value of keeping it though.
