Double trailers?

    Just curious does swift ever do double loads
    I’m going to work for them soon and if I could get my hands on a double trailer load the experience would do me good. If they don’t have em so be it, is just seen other big companies with em.

    I have seen rite aid out of Lancaster ca haul doubles. Seen cr England hauling rite aid trailers this week. So not sure if swift lost the acct. Or if England is helping out

    Swift pulls doubles on the Wal-Mart account in New York. They take 28' pups into New York City, see them on the NY Thruway all the time with daycabs doing these runs.

    Swift back in the 1990s was an all doubles outfit, but not so much anymore they gave up the widespread doubles. However your talking thruway doubles. I've never seen Swift do those.

    Not Thruway doubles, 28' pups, they pull them down to Yonkers, split the set and run each trailer into NYC. The WalMart fleet drivers handle the Thruway tandems in New York.

    They run from Yonkers up towards Johnstown often, I normally dee a northbound set around 2 pm near Saugerties when I'm heading south. Daycab with 28' pups.

    I saw a bunch of dollies stored at the Salt Lake/West Valley City Terminal over the summer. Someone told me what thwy were for, but I forgot.
