looking to lease purchase

You'll never have "your own truck" unless you buy one and make the final payment . With a lease purchase by the time a truck is paid for they'll tell you it needs to be traded for a new leased truck because it's 4 years old and they don't contract any trucks more than 3 years old . If you think a lease purchase truck is "your own truck " try changing to another carrier during the lease period .

 

This is one of the best posts I have seen as a reason not to do a lease deal.

 

well with JCT and I have the lease contract to quote it out of...there is a $1.00 buy out at the lease end and you can continue to pull JCT freight or your free to take the truck where ever you want.

 

That sounds like a decent deal. I'll be interested to hear how it works out for you. I'm guessing that their approach is not the way all companies do lease deals though.

 

thats the way it appears. I have done alot of research on Mr. Christner and he has a history of taking care of his people and seeing to it that they succed. as the driver is successful this make his company more successful. It seems if they are doing it the right way.

ive heard of this program as well, R&K financial out of Florida does this Lease prurchase program with a 101 dollar buyout at the end of 26 payments I think is what the lady told me when I called
it was like 3995 down
and 1500- 1700 per month depending on the price of the truck
and there is a GAZZZILION repos that they are trying to get rid of right now too

 

What the poster was refering to try taking the truck else were to lease on to another company is try taking it else were before the truck is paid for not after the final payment was made.
