I might have the opportunity to work for a Mail Hauling company from 1am-9am(MTuW), and 2am-8am(ThFSa) and a Intermodal job from 6pm-11pm(TuW) and 6pm-1am(Fri) and 6pm-3am(Sa). Both of these jobs will be local not driving more then 50 miles from truck terminal. It will be a total of about 65hrs, will I be able to work this does it fit into HOS rules going from Overnight job to Early morning job? Mail hauling uses E-logs and Intermodal uses paper logs.
Also will I have to take a 30min break even if I'm gonna be running 50mi radius local and no more then 9hrs/shift?

It’s only illegal if you get caught. Seriously, though, once your 14 started you have to log it accordingly. Meaning you would be in violation Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You cannot drive after 14 hours, and you don’t have long enough rest breaks. If they were back to back schedules it would be more feasible.

That being said, others have done it. It’s not a problem until you have an accident and they do some checking.

What if I was to start 2nd job at 7pm, giving me a 10hr break from 1st job(9am-7pm). And new 14 clock good until 9am the next day?

so you would work 1am to 9am, then take 10 hours and come back in at 7 pm. You could then work til 9 am the next day, but you can’t drive after 9 am until you have taken 10 off again. Then you would just need to keep track of your 70 hour clock.

Need to carry both logs with you too if you want to be completely legal. So, you would need to email your elog to yourself daily. And carry the paper log in the other truck.

If you were to be in an accident, or do anything that gets CSA points, chances are good both companies will fire you. Companies are funny sometimes and won't like you risking their CSA score working for another company.

If you are within 50 miles of your terminal, why are you using logs?

The real deal is once you clock in, you are considered working and your 14 hour work day rules. Ten hours off.

Within 50 miles of your terminal you don't need logbook at all unless state law is different
