It was never meant to insinuate work was bad, quite the opposite. Just making sure they know what they are in for if they decided to go flatbed. I did it for a couple of years, minus tarping, so I'm very aware of what you guys do on a daily basis and the pride you take in it. Don't need any more idiots in the flatbed side of trucking.

I enjoyed it when I did it. The money just wasn’t there though.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't busting your chops. I wouldn't want to insult a guy like you accidentally

Trucker Bunny, having a ride-a-long spouse has always been something I wish I could do. I think flatbed with Melton could work out just fine for you guys. Melton has many pluses for a couple. Their trucks are new and comfortable, they encourage ride-alongs.

There are a lot of routine securement and tarp tasks that your hubby must do that would be so much easier with an extra pair of hands down on street level helping.. Nothing difficult. Also helping fold tarps is such time saver. Navigation and trip planning could be nice if you helped, just get rolling and the passenger does the GPS and searching ahead for where to stop. Winding straps is also easy but takes time. I wish I had a helper! If you guys worked together, he could get loaded and unloaded quicker. Flatbed earns more because of some of these time consuming tasks. I have seen and done many amazing things as a driver. You can get out of the truck every day.

Good luck clock and best regards.

Melton is a good company. For a runner its a good place to be if you can deal with some of the company policies.
