Got into a new truck. Freightliner Cascadia and of course you know the hole up above the driver is where the connections are. I am used to the other style, red and black post loosen terminals put corresponding wire in and go. This one has a plug in style connector with two wires, neither red or black. The other wire I assume is for external speaker. Do they make a connector I can wire into the wires on back of radio for power and speaker? I would just cut the connectors off and hardwire but the wires as I said neither are red/ black

Correction, after I got back in and shined some light in there, there is a black and brown wire. The black should go to black, correct? I know a fellow that spliced the wires and crossed them I guess and popped some fuses in the process.

Take the brown wire and touch it to something metal in the truck, and see if sparks fly! Then you'll know if it's the Hot wire.

Better to pop a fuse in the truck, than pop the protection diode in the radio.weasel Thanks this. -
Might be hard to find any metal , buy yourself a test light, $2.00 at harbor freight

Life was better with a constant at-hand supply of firecrackers and beer. Sort of inured you to surprises and consequences.
