The Kenworth with the scars. That's the one I like. It has character. It's not perfect. Flaws. That truck has stories. How can you tell anyone that you've been to Hell without some sort of scars?

RedRover, sawmill, whoopNride and 7 others Thank this.

    You're describing a peter contest
Toughness, real toughness is never physical. It's mental. "Old Hickory" was not called Old Hickory because he was physically powerful. Neither was the Bull Moose. Yeah, getting into fights, dragging women through the mud and making them cry...real tough. Toughness is that ability that allows you to keep calm during crisis. Toughness is that stuff that takes the worry away from the family when you say, "Don't you worry." Toughness is that stuff inside you that impels you to do what you said that you would do and hold your words as your law. Toughness means you never 'lose it.' Toughness prevents anyone from being able to push your buttons. Toughness makes you immune to peer pressure. Toughness is what keeps you optimistic.

A Man doesn't need affirmation that he's a Man from anyone. A Man knows he's a Man, he has nothing to prove. He's already been recognized as such by the people that truly matter in his life. Men come in all shapes and sizes, colors, creeds, beliefs, etc., I've been embarrassed or surprised a number of times throughout my lifetime because I thought someone was something that they ended up being completely the opposite of what I had initially perceived because of the way they dressed, looked, did for a living, etc., Don't judge a book by it's cover comes to mind.

A man who isn't a Man already knows it and is either scared to death because of it or doesn't care anyway.

A man who isn't sure hangs around with Men looking for that affirmation. If that affirmation never comes he's shunned from the group or moves on because he knows.

A Wise Man keeps his mouth shut and doesn't address such nonsense because it doesn't apply to him.

I never claimed to be Wise;):D lmao!!!
