Hello C Hemp.
There are several good flatbed companies in the industry. Look for one that offers a good profit sharing plan as well as top flatbed pay. Most of the larger companies offer pretty good insurance and 401-K plans. Some offer both traditional and Roth plans. Compare tarp pay as well as compensation for extra stops and oversize loads. jdspain1950@yahoo.com

Don't forget about PGT. Their drivers do ok. It's a Pennsylvania based company. And once you gain experience there are tons of challenges in their heavy haul segment. (Better known as Southern Pines.)
C_Hemp Thanks this. -
Update: I got a "you're probably ok" answer from maverick (they require 1 year work experience in the last 3 years, which I have, a maybe from PGT and a no from melton. the recruiter from melton said employment gaps matter for new drivers but if I had 6 mos otr experience I would be fine. Next I'll contact TMC and Roehl.

Did you contact Jones Bros. Trucking in Missoula,Montana? I know what the website has, but a guy in North Carolina posted he was approved for cdl school there.

In my opinion... maverick would not be a bad choice. I work for a competitor of maverick and i still think they have good training, quality equipment and trucks all look new.
C_Hemp Thanks this.
