102" whip

Any recommendations on the monkey made or predator 10k?

 

10k every day....weighs less,warranty,broken parts cab be easily replaced..

 

So 10 k second behind 102" whip?

 

Both were compared in a test setting and the 102 faired a hair better in some respects but i would run a 10k..
Only draw back is coil height..If you go cophased your golden..Depends on your power output..

 

Good to know, I'm using my Cobra 148 it's tuned and peaked. But plan on buying an amp. I'm just looking at antennas right now for my t680. They offer the 10 k, competition, 30k and 3 other antennas.

 

Go for a comp or bad to the bone..The b2tb is a beefier comp..
Duel coiled and 30k are not for you on the 680..

 

Are the dual coil or 30 k to tall or why do you say that?

 

Duel coil is to short and coils will sit to low..
The 30k is a huge ant and unless your runnin 1000 watts or more its useless..

 

I see. I've recently read about Sirio Performer 5000 Trucker. Any info on that? The guy was replacing his Wilson 2000 for a sirio.

 

Same issue..Coil will sit low..You need(but can use a sirio)a top loaded antenna such as a firestock or skipshooter....Better for longer ranges...HEIGHT IS MITE.....
Sirio is sorta like the wilson 2000 but i think a much better antenna..How i cant say..Not a tech type guy..lol guess that statement dont mean much then eh..
