Oh and also apparently Sams Clubs dont work like Wal-Mart's do regarding live unloads. Appt at 2pm checked in at 1pm put in door immediately, and knock on door at 3pm....now if only we had a load to run on tonight lolLast edited: Mar 28, 2018

Wassup Truckerland. Tonight finds me in Rockwall, TX. I know, I know... why is he posting like he used to? I felt that because of what transpired today, one of my old posts was mandatory. So here we go. I picked my current load up in Stevenson AL and it's bound for the DFW area. I'm about an hour away, so tomorrow should be relatively painless. I'll be hitting it at rush hour, but that area is weird. Traffic moves amazingly well for a metro area of such a ridiculous magnitude. And for once I'm actually happy to be in Texas. Why, you ask? This is the last time I'll ever be here for the rest of my life. Everything has come together all at once for me, and it happened in the last couple days. I called Opie an hour ago and requested a trip to Cartersville after this load delivers. My truck is ready, minus a couple tires and deactivating the Bendix system. The loan is done. And the clock on my payments starts ticking in 5 days when I take possession. My truck is in Georgia, about 90 minutes from Cville. My dad lives down there so he's gonna scoop me up and get me to my truck. Then off to orientation on the 9th. I'm not gonna lie, calling Opie was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. It felt like I was letting him down, or stabbing him in the back. He was surprisingly awesome about it. Thank god for that, it took some of the sting out of that call. I also got a few messages from Reid on the Qualcomm. He was awesome as well. Very supportive and kind. Tell you what, if you've never met that guy, make time to do it. He's pretty cool, and he's perfect for the job. I'm really excited right now, but broken-hearted as well. I feel like I'm leaving home, and leaving my family. The day will never come where I won't make myself available to folks coming to Millis, folks in school, or students on the road. And I will never stop recommending this company. Millis has been extraordinary, and I will never forget my time here. I will miss being part of a clan. Now I'm just a loner who used to be part of something that was bigger than me. I love you guys, and I hope y'all stay in touch. I'll still be here, and watching this thread. I'm not going away, but I'm no longer relevant I wish the best for every single one of you, and success in your career. I'm not going to say goodbye. I'm going to say "until next time". Be safe out there guys. Keep the rubber side down and check your pins. Peace y'all
