She's not really. This isn't the first time I've chosen work over her...not even close, and I reckon I got exactly what I should have.
Hopefully she'll cool off in a few days.

Sorry about all your mishaps The girl wasn't for you if she couldn't understand that you're trying to better yourself by becoming a business owner. Relationships and trucking for me at least have not been a good mix even when the man was a fellow O/O go figure. I've had two dollars and the truck needed something that was 1.99 well you guessed it the truck got the money. It takes a really special person to have a relationship with a trucker especially an O/O.
Good luck and keep your chin up. I admire your moxie.Panhandle flash, Airborne, Tug Toy and 3 others Thank this. -
Yeah, my GF hardly blinked when I said I was running over Easter. The alternative was lousy miles for the week, and we need to bank some cash for some expected expenses in the next few months. Or rather, some expected income reduction.Broke Down 69 and Shock Therapy Thank this.

Just for the record, Miller/Coors in Milwaukee is a complete #### show. Man that joint could make an efficiency expert a bloody fortune just straightening out their truck check in procedures. Ended up just stopping in Pewaukee since this load doesn't deliver until Saturday and im stuck with it until then. Boy did I get it right in the keister this week, but as the saying goes, "That's trucking." Hoping next week i can get back on track.
More later...Vic Firth, Highway Sailor, Shock Therapy and 2 others Thank this. -
Good ole Miller/Coors in Milwaukee. The last time I was there was in 2011.
I was a "trainer" for May Trucking. It was there I discovered the Somali "trainee" refused to drive with a load of beer in the trailer.
He told me "Allah forbids me from doing that"... -
I remember you sharing that story with me and now I'm wondering where Allah stands on a load of bacon, or the Rabbi on a load of pork chops.
I'm not being flippant or trying to make a joke, it's just something I never considered. There was a small meat processor I took my deer to and he told me about a bad scene between him and a Jewish man whou brought a sheep in. Got all wound up and threatened to sue because he didn't have any knives that hadn't been used on pigs.

Or a load of dog food with pork, which May hauls quite a bit of out of Denver. Those dang loads always put you around 79,999 lbs.
Anyways, that fellow didn't last too long from what I was told.Airborne, Shock Therapy and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
All they needed to do was kasher the equipment.
Its easy.Broke Down 69 Thanks this. -
I think you mean kosher?

Pre-Rookie here - read through the thread and I'll continue to lurk. I'm just getting my start with a mega and plan to go company at first, but still looking at what options I'll have in a year or so and what I'll want/need to have prepped if I eventually decide to try the O/O route. Keep those updates coming and thank you!
Airborne and Broke Down 69 Thank this.
