I have driven two different trucks at Walton a peterbilt 386 with a c15 acert and a t660 with a Cummins isx. Not sure what the axle ratio on the Pete but I know it's shorter gears then the peterbilt
Peterbilt will be at 1300 rpm at 60 and the kw is more like 1600 at the same speed. Both are 18 Eaton trans. The kw pulls better. Of course the Pete also has 700k on it and the kw only 450k. Things aren't equal. Gears do make a difference though.
Freightliners and newer internationals are a cheaper made truck regardless of options. Kw and Pete are probably the best modern truck on the market. They are after all both piccar.
